Audi is known as a luxury car maker. Their A3 experienced sale boom in 2014. In 2013 Audi sold only 857 units, and then in 2014 22.250 followed up with 35.984 in 2015. 2017 Audi A3 – Exterior Updates
The exterior gets an update in design lines to reach a more aggressive looking form. New model features undercut Xenon headlight design, while LED lights are optional. The rear, on the other hand, has standard LED rear lights. Also, front bumper has been lowered. On the rear, there are dual exhaust pipes on all models except on S3 which has quad exhaust.
2017 Audi A3 – Interior Tech
The interior is revised with more quality materials, while designers paid attention to every detail. As for the technology 2017 Audi A3 comes with Audi Virtual Cockpit. It features a 12.3-inch screen powered with Nvidia quad-core processor. There is also MMI touch with handwriting recognition technology and smartphone interface which comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Smartphone interface is optional on Premium trim, while standard on Premium Plus and Prestige trims.
2017 Audi A3 – New Gearbox
Audi continues to use 2.0-liter TFSI engine with 220 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque on the sedan. It comes with six-speed S Tronic transmission. All models are available with FWD, while Audi Quattro system is optional for $3.000 extra. But the biggest change comes on models featuring FWD. Those now come with seven-speed dual clutch transmission instead of six. That will certainly improve fuel efficiency numbers.
There is also an S3 model which instead of 220 comes with 292 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. With Quattro AWD system, acceleration from 0-60 mph takes just 4.7 seconds.
2017 Audi A3 – Price
