The first compact crossover from Japanese car manufacturer that implemented KODO – Soul of Motion Design language and Skyactiv technology suite is the Mazda CX-5. When it was introduced in 2012 as 2013 model it became a huge success with 43.319 sold units. From then till now sales were going skyrocket high and in 2015 there was 111.450 of this vehicles sold. With 2017 Mazda CX-5 we can say that this trend will continue.
2017 Mazda CX-5 – Redesign
They won’t “play” too much with exterior since CX-5 is already a very good looking vehicle. Overall dimensions will not be altered. But some changes must be applied to new year model as any other manufacturer would do. For instance newly designed grille in form of 5 horizontally placed bars with Mazda emblem in the middle will be one of them. With trimmed headlights as well small fog lights near the big side air intakes 2017 Mazda CX-5 will have improved visibility of the road. In the rear end only lightning unit will be somewhat redesigned and you can get them in LED. That isn’t a bad thing, as we already said this SUV really looks great with all-around KODO Design language.
2017 Mazda CX-5 – Interior
The interior on the other hand might go through some intensive changes. It’s expected to receive more gadgets and features for 2017 Mazda CX-5. Some owners of CX-5 demanded upgraded interior, plush seating, illumination on the locks, homelink system and window buttons. Well, truth to be told if all demands would be in consideration and possibly implemented the price won’t be low for sure. But there are other things that 2017 Mazda CX-5 might have upgraded.
There are rumors of 7-inch touchscreen and integration with smartphone devices. Another one that would surely boost enjoyment of driving is Boose audio system. There is one thing that can’t be rumor even without official specification for this model. And that is safety and all you can get from it. Why are we so sure about that? Well, 2016 Mazda CX-5 received highest possible rating from the IIHS. This model is proudly wearing Top Safety Pick+ award. In other words Mazda won’t stray from this path in terms of safety of occupants. In other words we can expect high rating for safety for 2017 Mazda CX-5 as well.

But since it’s the 2017 model we can expect that it will be in last quarter of 2016 or even early 2017. Numbers on the price tag are also a mystery. It really depends on what will new model have in store for us. If we expect that they will listen to demands of current owners and fulfill their wishes price can go only up.
