2017 Nissan Murano

When Japanese manufacturer wanted to attack North America and Canada SUV market, they made Murano. Nissan sold first Murano in May, 2002 and from then we saw two more generations. Since the third generation of Murano was introduced on April, 2014 what can we expect from 2017 Nissan Murano. Well truth to be told, not so much. Current generation already comes with a hybrid drive and was completely redesigned in and out. There might off course come some changes. But when it comes to good sales Nissan knows a thing or two. They sold 62.907 Murano’s, but combined sales of entire Nissan and Infiniti lineup reached 2.009.119 of sold vehicles in 2015 setting all-time record. Amongst all other awards Nissan Murano was named “SUV of the Year” by the Southern Automotive Media Association (SAMA).

2017 Nissan Murano – Design And Safety

When we talk about body dimensions new 2017 Nissan Murano we’ll be slightly larger. Dimensions are as follows:  193.3 inch in length, 75.1 in width and 67.2 in height. On top of that some changes could happen on front fascia, but even if that happens, everything else will stay pretty much the same. Well thanks to bigger dimensions more space will be available in the luggage compartment, but also in the cabin so we can expect better comfort. As far as the safety rating for Murano we can surely say that new Murano will continue to provide the best safety features. Current model was awarded with Top Safety Pick+ by the IIHS. Because of that there is no concern that 2017 Nissan Murano won’t wonder off from that path.

Aside from exterior, interior will get more updates. We already said that interior will be more spacious. Interior of current model is already very stylish and elegant like you would expect from a premium SUV. But to further improve driving experience high-tech 7-inch Advanced Drive-Assist™ display will even more minimize mechanical buttons. With very comfortable leather seats and updated infotainment system driving 2017 Nissan Murano will be a real pleasure, like we even doubted that.

2017 Nissan Murano – Powertrain

There are no secrets when it comes to powertrain. Standard option will remain 3.5-liter V6 engine with output of 260 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque. It will send power via six-speed auto CVT to front wheels, while AWD will be optional. Hybrid drive of 2017 Nissan Murano will combine 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder engine which outputs 230 horsepower and 243 lb-ft of torque with advanced electric motor that has 15 kW. Combined output will reach 250 horsepower, while torque will remain the same.

There aren’t much new features that 2017 Nissan Murano will bring on the market, so the price range will probably remain the same as current model. We can expect new Murano in the last quarter of 2016, or early in 2017.
