Ram is a brand of pickup trucks that don’t need a special introduction. With constant updates, Ram tries to further establish itself among the best in the segment. And they are succeeding, and we’ve got the sale numbers to prove it. From 2010 to 2016 sale numbers are constantly growing and sales have jumped by 156%. But Ram wants to slowly move away from its former brand Dodge. And one of the ways to do it is a new face. That’s why 2018 Ram 1500 Sport will try on a new look.
2018 Ram 1500 Sport – New Look
Ram Sport sits in the middle of the lineup and like all other models carries an iconic crosshair grille that dates back all the way to 1986 Dodge Ram. Now being a relatively young brand, Ram wants to make an appearance for itself. The big change is on the front. Instead of the famous crosshair grille, the company will install wide, body color grille with large bold letters R-A-M also in body color. Also, the headlights get dark surroundings, while the hood gets two scoops. This will definitely make a new stand for the Ram pickup. In addition, Non-Sport models will have the ability to get this look with Sport Appearance package.

Other than that, there will be no other changes. Under the hood remains 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with 305 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. Of course, that’s not all. The buyer can also opt for 5.7-liter Hemi V8. And this engine produces 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. It is enough for this beast to tow up to 10.700 pounds. The layout remains 2WD or 4WD through the eight-speed automatic transmission.
