2018 Range Rover – Engines

The engine section is rather interesting. The reason behind this is that Range Rover already has various engines, and there’s still room for one more. Before we get to that, just for the reminder that this SUV comes with 3.0-liter V6 engines, one with a turbocharger (diesel) and one with a supercharger. The turbo version has 254 horsepower, while with a supercharger the output is increased to 340 horsepower. On top of that, there is 5.0-liter supercharged V8 with two output numbers, 510 and 550 horsepower. All engines come with eight-speed automatic transmission and 4WD. Land Rover did a good job with engine choices, and they will still add another powertrain.

The word is about hybrid. Land Rover unveiled this technology Range Rover Concept_e PHEV in 2015. The electric motor lies between the combustion engine and transmission and draws power from li-ion battery pack mounted in the trunk. Unfortunately, it is unknown what will end up in the production version, and what will the output be.
