2018 Subaru Impreza With No Changes

Subaru really must be proud since the popularity of this brand is stronger than ever. From 2007 sale numbers have not once gone down, reaching a record of 615.132 of vehicles sold in the U.S. One of the many vehicles that rise in popularity is Subaru’s entry model Impreza. But being majorly overhauled for 2017 model year can we expect that 2018 Subaru Impreza will arrive with even the slightest changes? Well, the probability for that is no.

2018 Subaru Impreza – Color Palette Mix Possible

It will remain to be available in sedan and 5-door hatchback body style. Last year, Impreza received all-new Subaru’s Global Platform that will underpin all future vehicles of this brand. Subaru claims that this platform offers 70% more rigidity as well as 40% more crash-energy-absorption. Impreza has also grown for 1.6 inches in length, 1.5 inches in width, while it lost 0.4 inches in height. And after the redesign, the only thing that we can expect is a little mix of exterior colors in the color palette. Besides that, Subaru might also change some features in equipment packages, but it is unlikely.

There are four trims available. All of them come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard as well as power mirrors, windows, and locks. Power driver seat comes only on highest Limited trim, while with all other there is manually adjustable. With Limited the buyer also gets an 8-inch touchscreen, LED headlights, leather interior, while navigation is optional.

2018 Subaru Impreza – Only One Engine

There will be no changes under the hood. Last year Subaru Impreza received 2.0-liter BOXER engine. It produces 4 horsepower more than the model before coming to a total output of 152 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque. Depending on the trim selection, the gearbox is either five-speed manual or CVT. What is usual of all Subaru’s models (except BRZ which will for 2018 MY be tuned by STI) is that every model comes with standard Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.

2018 Subaru Impreza – Price

With virtually no changes or some modest updates, we don’t think that the price of 2018 Subaru Impreza will change whatsoever. And with this information, the only logical means for waiting for 2018 model year is the discount the 2017 model year will have. Current price range is $19.215-$25.415. Some of its rivals are Honda Civic, Volkswagen Golf, Chevrolet Cruze, Mazda 3 and Hyundai Elantra.
