There are many models that Aston Martin will unveil in the next couple of years, but those which exist today aren’t going to be neglected. Spy photos of the test mule are here to prove that, and the word is about 2019 Aston Martin Vanquish. And it’s more than just a facelift.
2019 Aston Martin Vanquish – Design
Like the new Vantage, Vanquish will also borrow elements from the DB11. The first and most notable one is that new Vanquish will come on the same aluminum lightweight platform. Of course, there are certain modifications to suit the supercar. The model in the pictures resembles the DB11, but upon a closer inspection, there are more than a handful of changes. The first thing noticeable is that new front splitter. Not only that but unlike the DB11, this one sits much lower. Wheel size is also bigger than DB11’s 20-inch wheels.
2019 Aston Martin Vanquish – Engine
More important is what we will find under the hood. The powertrain in question is 5.2-liter twin turbo V12. This engine produces 600 horsepower for the DB11, but we expect much bigger numbers for the Vanquish. After all, this car’s main rival is Ferrari 812 Superfast which produces 789 horsepower. And it’s not the only vehicle that 2019 Aston Martin Vanquish will take on, there are also Mercedes-AMG S65 and Bentley Continental GT Speed. The question is will they achieve much bigger output than the 600 horsepower for the Vanquish using only this engine.
2019 Aston Martin Vanquish – Hybrid
Andy Palmer previously stated that this model will use some sort of hybrid technology. Maybe even the one being used in Valkyrie where electric motor produces 130 horsepower. In this case, the output could reach a number much closer to that of Ferraris.
2019 Aston Martin Vanquish – Release Date
While we must year more than a few months to finally see what will new Vanquish bring, it’s certainly good that Aston Martin has a strong and steady path. And we can expect the next Vanquish in all its glory in the end of 2018.
